There at an early age she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She came to America at age 14 and lived practically the rest of her life in Ida and Woodbury counties except for a few years she spent in Denison, Iowa. Read More	The Correctionville News, 22 June 1944, page 1: Mrs. Minnie Groszkrueger was born December 10, 1862, in Germany. There at an early age she was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. She came to America at age 14 and lived practically the rest of her life in Ida and Woodbury counties except for a few years she spent in Denison, Iowa. For many years she was a member of the Holstein Lutheran Church. In 1882 she married Herman Stoebner. Two children were born to this union, Mrs. Alma Montang of Sioux City and a child who died in infancy. In 1885 her husband passed away. In 1889 the departed was united in marriage to Henry Groszkrueger. Seven children were born to this union, three of whom preceded her in death: one child in infancy, Martha at age 13 and William at age 29. Her husband died in 1931. Deceased had been ailing for a number of years and began to feel more and more the effects of her age. On Saturday evening, June 15, 1944, she passed away aged 82 years and 6 months. Surviving children include Mrs. Alma Montang of Sioux City, Mrs. Frieda Nebendahl of Aurora, South Dakota, Mrs. Edith Holderness of Omaha, Alfred of Correctionville and Fred of McCook Lake, South Dakota, 20 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
