July 31, 1924 - Carroll Times - Miss Minnie Wiedemeyer, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Wiedemeyer, passed away at the St. Anthony hospital Saturday afternoon at 1:45 o'clock after being in a serious condition for several days. Death was due to heart exhaustion. She had not been in the best of health for a number of years and since the death of her father, May 8, 1923, had been failing in health, spending several weeks at a time at the hospital under treatment. Dearly beloved by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed in the home, which she and her sister have maintained since the death of their father. Minnie Wiedemeyer was born in Carroll county October '27, 1886, making her home on the farm just east of town until a year ago when the family moved to Carroll. She was a devout member of the Catholic church, being affiliated with the S.S. Peter and Paul church of this city. She was also a member of the Young Ladies Society of the church. Her mother died in 1901 and during her few short years of maturity she had been called upon to lose a brother, A.J. Wiedemeyer in 1915. A brother, John Wiedemeyer, died May 4, 1922 and her father died in May 1923. Being naturally of frail health, the grief of the departed ones wore heavily upon her strength. Funeral services were held at the S.S. Peter and Paul church Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock. The pall bearers were six nephews of the departed one. The surviving brothers and sisters are, J.L. Wiedemeyer, of Omaha, W.I. Wiedemeyer and Leo Wiedemeyer of Carroll, Mrs. Joseph Kanne, Mrs. Anton Kanne and Miss Josephine Wiedemeyer.
