| Description | : | Morgan Tenny Swindall was the last of four children born to James "Tennie" and Ruth (Vanover) Swindall. His mother died of lung fever (Pneumonia) at the young age of 30, leaving behind 4 small children. Six-month old Morgan Tenny was taken into the home of his paternal grandparents, Wesley and "Polly" Swindall and was reared as their own. He had blue eyes and light colored hair. Tenny lost one lung when he plunged a knife into it to relieve his suffering from pleurisy. He continued the usual hard working life of his time as a farmer. |
