Read More	Shelby County, Missouri, January 1956 Max Boling, 101, Died at Home Here Monday Max Clarence Boling passed away at his home in Clarence on Monday afternoon, Jan. 2. Mr. Boling was born in Germany on June 9, 1854, and came to America, when he was 18 months old, with his parents, Henry and Frances Smith Boling. They first lived at Beloit, Wis., then moved to Springfield, Ill., and when he was about eight they came to Missouri and made their home on a farm southwest of Lentner. On Dec. 28, 1882, he was united in marriage with Fannie V. Winkler of Mexico, Mo., and established their home on a farm southeast of Clarence where they lived until September 1946 when they moved to Clarence. His wife preceded him on Oct. 28, 1950. He continued to live in his own home under the patient and kind care of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Beddow. Five children were born to them, three sons and two daughters, four of whom survive, Charlie W. Boling of Huntsville; Oscar H. Boling, Anna Boling Barr and John M. Boling all of near Clarence; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A daughter Mary Lee Timbrook preceded him on Feb. 13, 1951. Mr. Boling was the eldest of a family of nine children who grew to adulthood and all of them preceded him. He was a member of the Lentner Christian church. Last rites were held Wednesday afternoon at the local Christian Church at 2 o'clock conducted by the Rev. J. L. Shoemaker of Shelbina assisted by the pastor, Lyle Armstrong. Burial was made in Maplewood Cemetery at Clarence.
