E. Coppock, about six years ago. Mrs. Coppock had been in failing health for some time. Her death, which occurred at the age of 78 years, was attributed to the flu and a heart attack. Mrs. Coppock was born Jennie Piper in the state of Pennsylvania Dec. 6, 1865. When a small child she came to Carroll County with her parents. Sept. 21, 1887, she married Mr. Coppock in Pleasant Valley Township, Carroll County. They farmed in the vicinity of Old Carrollton for many years and made their home in Carroll after their retirement. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in September, 1937. Surviving Mrs. Coppock are five children: Arthur Coppock, Los Angeles; Mrs. Jess Hupp (Vera), Scranton; Mrs. Oscar Jubell (Alta), Muskegon, Mich.; Clarence Coppock and Mrs. F r e d Snelling (Nellie), both of Los Angeles. A son, Alvy, died in infancy. Mrs. Coppock was a member of the United Brethren Church at Carrollton, with which she united when a young girl. The body is at t he Huffman Funeral Home in Scranton, awaiting completion of funeral arrangements. Burial will be beside her husband in the Coon Rapids Cemetery. Scranton (THNS) — Funeral services were conducted in the Methodist Church here Saturday afternoon for Mrs. Jennie Margaret Coppock, who died Jan.24 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jess Hupp, with whom she had lived since her husband, A.E. Coppock, passed away in May, 1939. Rites were conducted by the pastor, the Rev. Edward L. Stone. He was assisted by Mrs. B. E. Friend, organist, and Mrs. R. E. Parry, who sang "The Unclouded Day" and "Nearer My God to Thee." Burial was in the Coon Rapids cemetery, and pallbearers were Corwin Thomas, Francis Silbaugli, Ray Storm, Willard Lewis, Phillip Harbaugh and John Sidels. Mrs. Coppock leaves five children; 22 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs.Minnie Davis, Carrollton, and Mrs. Mary Carlson, Scranton, and one brother, Ed Piper of Scranton. Mrs. Coppock had been a practical nurse for many years. She passed away at the age of 79 years.
