Thomas DeBacker officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Mrs. Kloke passed away Friday, September 8, 1995, at the Pierce Manor. She was born September 3, 1903, in Minden, Iowa, the daughter of Ferdinand and Augusta (Albers) Krohn. Thomas DeBacker officiating. Burial was in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Mrs. Kloke passed away Friday, September 8, 1995, at the Pierce Manor. She was born September 3, 1903, in Minden, Iowa, the daughter of Ferdinand and Augusta (Albers) Krohn. She moved to Osmond in 1907 and attended the Osmond schools and graduated in 1922 from Osmond High School. She played piano for silent movies in Osmond in the 1920s and played for the Andy Moats Orchestra in the late 20s and early 30s. She also played for dances and gave piano lessons. She married Theodore Kloke on June 5, 1924, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Osmond. She taught school for District 27 in Pierce for one year, and taught rural school in Madison and Pierce Counties. After 18 years of teaching, she retired in 1974. Mr. Kloke passed away January 15, 1982. She was a member of St. Joseph's Altar Society and Legion of Mary. After entering the Pierce Manor, she played piano for the singalongs for 10 years. Survivors include two sons and spouses, Ted and Shirley Kloke of Plainview and Virgil and Vonda Kloke of Pocahontas, Ill.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Joyce Christensen and Jacque and Sid Oetker of Denison, Texas; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband, seven brothers, five sisters and one grandson.
