Read More	DEATH OF MRS IRA ALFORD Young Woman Of Arlington Neighborhood Dies Thursday After A Very Few Hours Illness Mrs. Ira Alford of the Arlington neighborhood north of this city died Thursday afternoon about one o’clock. In this case, as in others of the community quite recently, death was so sudden it was almost a mystery. Mrs. Alford was apparently healthy at eight o’clock in the morning. She had talked over the telephone and was making preparations to join the members of the Arlington Church Ladies Aid Society in their meeting at S. W. Oyster home in the city for dinner. About 9:30 however, she became sick and the family soon became much alarmed over her condition. Her parents Mr. and Mrs. Copelin were summoned, the physician was called and all was done that could be done to relieve the suffering woman, but life was extinct at one o’clock. Myrtle Capelin was born in Wallace County, Kansas, July 11, 1887 and at the time of her death was twenty-eight years old. When a child six years of age she came to Villisca with her parents. The period of her life between that and her death was spent in this vicinity. She was married to Ira Alford and to one child was born, Lee, aged six, is the only child to survive the mother. The sorrowing husband, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Capelin, one brother and four sisters survive the deceased. Wen this paper was placed on the press definite arrangements had not been made regarding the funeral services. They will be held today, however and the body will be interred in the Villisca Cemetery.
