Description	:	Eileen was born the daughter of Richard and Eleanor McBride Haxton. She grew up in Colfax and graduated from high school in 1950. During her sophomore year, Eileen met classmate Edwin Johnson. Following graduation the couple remained close friends and they married October 29, 1955 in Renton, WA. Eileen worked as a telephone operator in her younger years; later she worked for the ASCS office in Colfax for 13 years. Read More	Eileen was born the daughter of Richard and Eleanor McBride Haxton. She grew up in Colfax and graduated from high school in 1950. During her sophomore year, Eileen met classmate Edwin Johnson. Following graduation the couple remained close friends and they married October 29, 1955 in Renton, WA. Eileen worked as a telephone operator in her younger years; later she worked for the ASCS office in Colfax for 13 years. They made their home on the family farm at Onecho and Eileen kept busy as a homemaker and helping on the farm. She was the chief cook, the bookkeeper and even the fireman; she would drive the fire truck to the fire at the first call for help. She loved Cougar athletics, especially football and basketball; she liked fishing, boating, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. When her children were younger, Eileen was active in their education and as a "room mom". She was an immaculate housekeeper and was well known for baking her custard pies. She attended Onecho Bible Church. She is survived by her husband, Ed, at the family home in Onecho; 3 children, Diana Fennie of Tucson, AZ., Aaron Johnson, Onecho, and Lori Mohr of Seattle; 2 grandchildren, Nicholas and Connor Johnson; 2 sisters, Mary Lou Johnson of Odessa, MO. and Carol Rubin of Colfax; and a brother, Bob Haxton, Colfax. She was preceded in death by her parents.
