Description	:	Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Devine Suiter, 82, were held at the Iconium Baptist Church at 11:00 a.m., July 17, the Rev. Orval Scott officiating. Music was sung by the Scott quartet, Mrs. Harold Scott accompanist. Escorts for burial in the Iconium Cemetery were Howard Hart, Neil Smart, Glenn Smallwood, Roy Murray, John Winters and Johnny Dawson. Mrs. Suiter, daughter of Martin V. and Ruth Maple Bell, was born in the National community near Warsaw, Aug. 7, 1881, and died at the Osceola hospital, July 15, 1964 where she had been a patient 8 days following a paralytic stroke. She grew to womanhood in the Warsaw community and on Dec. 31, 1900 she was married to Henry Devine at Brownington. They lived on a farm there for many years before moving to the Wisdom community where Mr. Devine died in Oct. of 1944. On May 3, 1948, she was married to Martin Suiter at Lowry City. Mr. Suiter died Feb. 26, 1952. She continued to maintain her home in Iconium. No children of her own blessed her home but she reared, with a mother's love, a great-niece, now Mrs. Grace Root, Lebanon, Mo., and a great-nephew, Kenneth Shinn, Iconium, taking them at an early age and loving them as her own. When a young girl Mrs. Suiter united with the Methodist Church in Deepwater and the past several years attended the Church of God (Holiness) in Wisdom and Lowry City. Survivors include the foster son and daughter, above mentioned; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Chris and Mac Bell, Warsaw, and Jess Bell, of Bolivar.
