She was born here Nov. 24, 1891, the daughter of George Oliver and Mary Virginia Wilson Flesher and had been a lifelong resident of this community. Surviving are her husband, Roy G. Obaugh; a foster daughter, Mrs. Clarence W. (Nellie) Malcolm; a son, William G. Obaugh; two grandsons, George William Obaugh and Clarence Malcolm, Jr., and a granddaughter, Beverley Stuart Malcolm, all of McDowell. Three brothers, Henry Berlin, William Edwin and Benjamin Samuel Flesher, preceded her in death.... Obaugh; a foster daughter, Mrs. Clarence W. (Nellie) Malcolm; a son, William G. Obaugh; two grandsons, George William Obaugh and Clarence Malcolm, Jr., and a granddaughter, Beverley Stuart Malcolm, all of McDowell. Three brothers, Henry Berlin, William Edwin and Benjamin Samuel Flesher, preceded her in death. A funeral service was held at McDowell Methodist Church conducted by her pastor, Rev. Homer LeMaster, assisted by Dr. W. O. Rhoad, pastor of McDowell Presbyterian Church. A very large crowd of relatives and friends gathered to pay a last tribute of respect to the deceased. The beautiful floral offering was carried by the women of her church. Interment was at Headwaters Cemetery. Mrs. Obaugh was a member of McDowell Methodist Church, the WSCS, the Stonewall Woman's Club and the Home Demonstration Club and gave active support to these groups. For years she had been a licensed funeral director and a member of Shenandoah Valley Funeral Directors Assn. She gave unlimited time and effort to help make her family's funeral director service a work of the highest standard and sympathetic comfort to all the people they served. Mrs. Obaugh's passing is a great loss not alone to her family but to the host of friends who loved her for the very unselfish Christian life she lived.
