Oliver, well known farm lady of the Holyoke community, died suddenly at 12:30 p.m. last Thursday at her home after suffering a heart attack. She was 63 years old. Services were conducted Sunday afternoon at the Holyoke Methodist church, with Rev. H.R. Bauer, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment was in Holyoke Memorial Park. Arrangements were in charge of the Lewis Funeral Home. Mrs. Oliver had apparently been feeling as well as usual until a short time before her death. She had done house work last Thursday morning and had almost finished preparing the noon meal when she became ill and went to bed. She passed away less than one-half hour later. As Myrtle Leora Clayton, Mrs. Oliver was born* in Nodaway County, Missouri, near Barnard. At the age of 15 she became a member of the Christian church at Guilford, Missouri. She later joined the Bethel Methodist church near Guilford and at the time of her death she was a member of the Holyoke Methodist church. On October 15, 1907, she was united in marriage with William W. Oliver at Maryville, Missouri. They lived on their farm near Guilford until 1925, then moved to what is now the Floyd Middlebrook farm northwest of Holyoke. They resided there until 1943 then lived in Holyoke for six months before moving to the farm 7 miles north and 2 miles west of Holyoke, which has been the Oliver home since that time. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver had three children, Maynard Oliver, Holyoke; Ernest Oliver, Portland, Oregon, who was here at the time of his mother's death, and Doris, Mrs. Wayne Abbey, Holyoke. Besides her husband and children, Mrs. Oliver leaves two brothers, Leon Clayton, Guilford, Missouri, and Ova Clayton, Savannah, Missouri, four grandchildren, W.G. Oliver and Larry and Vonnell Abbey, Holyoke, and Dennis Oliver, Portland, Oregon, and many other relatives. Among those who were here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Roy A.
