Hollingsworth died October 15th at 10:35 p.m. at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Query, six miles north of Villisca, where she made her home the past seven years. The twenty-fourth day of last December Mrs. Hollingsworth suffered a stroke of paralysis and since that time has been very much afflicted having been confined to her bed the past three months of her life. Nancy M. Ramsey was born January 27, 1835 in Harrison county, Ohio, and departed this life October 15, 1919 aged eighteen days. She was married to Levi Hollingsworth February 28, 1851. To this union nine children were born, four sons and five daughters, the husband, two sons, and two daughters preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her loss two sons, and three daughters, S. A. of Onawa, J. W. of Nodaway, Mrs. Lydia Query and Mrs. Vila Carothers of Villisca and Mrs. Sarah Perryman of near Parker, South Dakota, besides twenty-two grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and two great -great-grandchildren, making five generations. This makes the second time in her remarkable life she has lived to see five generations in her family. She also leaves three brothers and one sister, Samuel D. of Des Moines, New Mexico; Albert B. of Urich, Missouri; Charles T. of Modale, Iowa, and Esther A. Walker of McCracken, Kansas. She was converted at an early age and united with the Methodist church, living a devoted Christian life to the last. The funeral was held Saturday at 12 o'clock at the John Query house conducted by the pastor of the Methodist church at Villisca. Interment was made in the Mt. Etna cemetery beside her husband. The death of Grandma Hollingsworth marks the passing of one of the old time citizens of this community and one who was loved and respected by all who knew her.
