Description	:	Levica Alma Hollingsworth was born December 22, 1859 in Harrison County, Ohio and when a child came with her parents to Iowa. She was married to James Query July 15, 1877 and to this union eight children were born. Her husband and four children preceded her in death. The surviving children are Mrs. Mary Chew of Villisca, Mrs. Margaret Shearburn of St. Paul, Nebraska, W. F. Query, Kallispell, Montana, Mrs. Ruth Nipper, Omaha, Nebraska, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. also one brother and one sister surviving, J. W. Hollingsworth, Nodaway and Mrs. Chas Perryman of Sioux Falls, South Dakotha. Late in life she was married to John Carothers who preceded her in death. She has always been a member of the Methodist Church and caring for the sick was to her a sacred privilege, a faithful and beloved mother answered her call Wednesday, July 10, 1940, aged 50 years, 6 months, and 12 days, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Chew in Villisca. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. Buhler, pastor of the M. E. Church Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Pittman Funeral Home in Villisca. Singing was by Margaret Lindell with elaine routh at the piano. The sons were "The Rose of Sharon" and "I Am A Pilgrim." The pallbearers were members of her own family, V. W. Nipper, Fletcher and Donald Nipper, George Shearburn, J. W. Query, and Duane Perryman. Burial was in the Nodaway Cemetery. Adams County Free Press, July 18, 1940, page 8
