Description	:	Nancy B. Rozell was born December 15, 1860, in Clarington, Monroe county (sic), Ohio, where she grew to womanhood and received her education. On April 13th, 1884, she was united in marriage to Mr. George Howell. To this union were born two sons, Jacob, of Chester, and James, of Hebron. In 1886, she with her husband and family came west, and for a short time stopped in Thayer county (sic), Nebraska, then went to Red Willow county (sic), where they took a homestead, about twelve miles northwest of McCook, where they resided until 1910, when they sold their home and returned... Read More	Nancy B. Rozell was born December 15, 1860, in Clarington, Monroe county (sic), Ohio, where she grew to womanhood and received her education. On April 13th, 1884, she was united in marriage to Mr. George Howell. To this union were born two sons, Jacob, of Chester, and James, of Hebron. In 1886, she with her husband and family came west, and for a short time stopped in Thayer county (sic), Nebraska, then went to Red Willow county (sic), where they took a homestead, about twelve miles northwest of McCook, where they resided until 1910, when they sold their home and returned to Thayer county (sic), settling in Hebron. Here they resided until Mr. Howell's death, May 22, 1927. After the departure of her beloved husband, she made her home in Chester, where she resided and was cared for by her granddaughter, Rosina Howell, until ill health compelled her to reside with her sons. Later she made her home with her son, James, until her death on February 8th, 1938, being aged 77 years, 1 month and 24 days. Mrs. Howell had been a sufferer for several weeks. She was honest, industrious and one who loved her family. She leaves to mourn her departure, her only living brother, L.D. Rozell, of Shady Side, Ohio; two sons, Jacob, of Chester, and James, of Hebron; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, besides many neighbors and friends. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian church (sic) in Chester, conducted by the Rev. J.J. Ruppert, of Guide Rock, who also preached her husband's funeral on May 24, 1927, in Hebron. He spoke words of comfort from the theme of "Frailty of Life," Job 30:23, to a large company of friends and neighbors, who had gathered to pay tribute of respect to a neighbor and mother. The music was furnished by a mixed quartet, with Mrs. Harter at the piano. The pallbearers were from among the friends of the children. The floral offering was very beautiful. Interment was made in the Chester cemetery (sic) beside her companion to await the resurrection morning. In Memory of Mrs. Nancy Howell who died February 8, 1933. A happy home was once enjoyed, How sweet the memory still; But death hath left a lonliness (sic), This world can never fill. Day by day we saw you fade, And gently pass away; Yet in our prayers we always prayed That you might longer stay. If love and care could death prevent, Thy days could not so soon be spent.
