Description	:	Jacob Rozell Howell, son of George and Nancy Belle Howell, was born February 12, 1886, at McCook, Nebraska, where he spent his boyhood days. He passed away October 13, 1957, at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 1 day. In early manhood he moved with his parents and brothers, James, to Hebron, Nebraska. On April 15th, 1908, he was united in marriage to Maude Alice Simpson. To this union were born nine children, four daughters and five sons. Read More	Jacob Rozell Howell, son of George and Nancy Belle Howell, was born February 12, 1886, at McCook, Nebraska, where he spent his boyhood days. He passed away October 13, 1957, at the age of 71 years, 8 months and 1 day. In early manhood he moved with his parents and brothers, James, to Hebron, Nebraska. On April 15th, 1908, he was united in marriage to Maude Alice Simpson. To this union were born nine children, four daughters and five sons. He united with the Baptist Church at McCook when he was 19 years of age. He was engaged in the windmill and plumbing business. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, James, and one daughter, Thelma Belle. He leaves to mourn his loss his loving companion; daughters, Helen Ritterbush of Venice, Calif.; Rozelle Kleveland of Chester; Winifred Thompson of Belleville, Ks.; sons, George of Genoa, Ill.; Eldon of Lincoln; Delmar of Wichita, Ks.; Dale of McMinneville, Ore.; and Loren of Genoa, Ill.; 32 grandchildren; one great grandchild; other relatives and a host of friends. A happy home was once enjoyed How sweet the memory still But death has left a loneliness This world can never fill. Day by day, we saw you fade and gently pass away. Yet in our prayers were always prayed That you might longer stay. If love and care could death prevent, Thy days could not so soon be spent. Life was desired, but God did see Eternal rest was best for thee. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 16, at the Christian Church with Rev. Ray Outler officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Eickman of Belleville sang accompanied by Mrs. Melvin Crouse at the organ. The casketbearers were Thomas Schutz, Fred F. Kuhlmann, W.I. Navis, E.M. Schroeder, G.D. Van Cleef and J.F. Gausman. Interment was in the Chester cemetery (sic). Bachelor-Faulkner-Dart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
