Description	:	Nancy was the daughter and 5th child of Robert and Deborah (Gordon) Huckins of New Hampton and later Ashland. They resided Dana Hill area. Her mother died when she was a child and father remarried some time after. Her mother gave birth to nine children, one of whom died as a child, prior to her death in 1819. Nancy married Darius Abbott Feb 12, 1856 in New Hampton New Hampshire and resided in Sandwich. He was a farmer. I don't believe Nancy had children who survived. In the 1870 census... Nancy married Darius Abbott Feb 12, 1856 in New Hampton New Hampshire and resided in Sandwich. He was a farmer. I don't believe Nancy had children who survived. In the 1870 census Nancy was age 60, residing in Sandwich NH, husband Darius was 67, They had a daughter Mary M. Abbott age 21, (age 12 in the prior census), a child of Darius and first wife Mehitable. Also in the household was Nancy's nephew, although not enumerated as such, Carlos A. Huckins age 9 (son of Jonathan Gordon Huckins and Salvina Hodge, whose father was ill and died the folowing year). I believe Nancy's husband who died in 1875 or 1885 was buried in Prescott Cemetery in Holderness. His first wife was Mehitable Prescott and she died in 1845. Cemetery Inscriptions in Ashland, Bagley, shows Nancy Abbott buried in Green Grove, "w of Darius Abbott." Adopted daughter Mary M. Abbott - Dorr was buried in Union Cemetery, Laconia FindaGrave #183155768 . Note: Ancestry has tree showing this Nancy married to Jesse Dolloff. That was a different Nancy born 1801 daughter of Samuel and Mary Jane (Heron) Huckins also of New Hampton. That Nancy also died later in 1881 and was buried in the Dolloff Cemetery.
