Description	:	Mrs. J.S. Williams, for over fifty years a resident of Montgomery county, died Thursday of last week at 6:40 p.m. at her home southwest of Villisca where she has resided since 1871. Nannie J. Spalding was born in Beaver county, Pa., October 28, 1844. In 1855 she moved with her parents to Morning Sun, Iowa, where on January 3, 1871, she was married to Jas. S. Williams, and since that time she has resided on the farm southwest of Villisca. She was the mother of five sons, four of whom with her husband survive her. They are Dr. F.S. Spalding was born in Beaver county, Pa., October 28, 1844. In 1855 she moved with her parents to Morning Sun, Iowa, where on January 3, 1871, she was married to Jas. S. Williams, and since that time she has resided on the farm southwest of Villisca. She was the mother of five sons, four of whom with her husband survive her. They are Dr. F.S. Williams, Alfred, Harry, and Ralph, all of Villisca. The youngest son, Wallace, preceded his mother in death, having died at Villisca on Sept. 12, 1914. Mrs. Williams was a member of the United Presbyterian church. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the home, with "Rev. W. E. Gordon of Hepburn and Rev. C. Haupt, pastor of the United Presbyterian church of Red Oak, in charge. The singing was by F. A. Graham, B. O. Negley, Mrs. John McGrew and Mrs. Ralph Galby, with Mrs. Eli McCorkle at the piano. The pallbearers were the sons of the deceased - Dr. F.S., Alfred, Harry and Ralph, and two grandsons — Paul and James Williams. Interment was in the Villisca cemetery.
