Pasco was born in Marion County, Ind., Nov. 3rd, 1841, and died at her home near Glasco, April 23rd, 1909, 67 yrs, 5 months, 20 days. In 1852 she moved with her parents to Benton County, Iowa. Here she resided until her marriage to Samuel A. Harper, Sept. 30, 1858. To this union were born six children, Mrs. Sarah McClellan, Noah Harper, Mrs. Isabel Matthews, John Harper, Mrs. Elizabeth Studt, and Wm. Harper, all of her survive her except Mrs. Matthews, who departed this life Oct. 10, 1888. There were 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Mother Harper united with the Christian church at the age of sixteen years and continued a member until she removed to Kansas in 1878, when she united with the M.E. church, of which she was a faithful member to the end. And during all her life, she proved her Christian inclinations and lived according to her profession, a true follower of Him who died that men might live. Not long ago Mr. and Mrs. Harper celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary, at which all the living children were present. The funeral occurred on Saturday, April 24, at three o'clock p.m. from the Methodist church, Rev. J.T. Bates officiating, in which capacity he was assisted by Rev. J.F.
