He was the second of six children of whom three survive. With the family he moved to Kansas and in December 1878 they settled in the community near the present family home. On March 11, 1886, he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Brown, who passed from this life on February 26, 1919. To this union were born eight children, three sons and five daughters. HARPER OBITUARY Noah Manford, son of Samuel Alexander and Nancy Pasco Harper, was born February 3, 1861 near Blairstown, Benton County, Iowa. He was the second of six children of whom three survive. With the family he moved to Kansas and in December 1878 they settled in the community near the present family home. On March 11, 1886, he was united in marriage to Mary Elizabeth Brown, who passed from this life on February 26, 1919. To this union were born eight children, three sons and five daughters. One son and two daughters died in infancy. The surviving children are Frank of Borger, Texas; Mrs. Ray Paul of Scottsville; and Fred, Mary and Margaret of the home. Three grandchildren, Mrs. Joe Tooley of Pampa, Texas, Nancy and Kathryn of Scottsville, one grandson, Herbert Harper of Denver and one great granddaughter, Betty Jo Tooley of Pampa, Texas. One sister, Mrs. Sarah McClellan and two brothers, J.A. Harper and W.H. Harper, together with many nephews and nieces mourn their loss. At the age of nineteen he united with the Methodist Church........ Most of his time was spent in Sunday School work, he having been superintendent of the Glasco Methodist Sunday School for twenty-five years without a break. He was also active in Christian Educational work in both the State and County. He was honored as President Emeritus of the Cloud County Council of Christian Education......... Funeral services were held at the Glasco Methodist Church on Monday, June 9, at 2:00 p.m. Rev. R.R. Braddick officiating. Interment was made in the Glasco cemetery.
