Description	:	Naomi Boone Oetzel, 85, born April 17, 1934, to Carlos and Lucille (Lewis) Boone, passed away on April 13, 2020. Naomi was a 1951 graduate of Aberdeen High School, and attended Wilmington College, earning a teaching permit. In April of 1953, she married Charles Edwin Oetzel, later settling in the New Richmond, Ohio area for nearly 60 years. (Sharon) Oetzel of Wilmington, Randall A. (Robin) Oetzel of Williamsburg, James B. Oetzel of Manchester, Edwin E. (Karen) Oetzel. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Norma Jean (Roy) Graybill and Sally Randolph Oetzel of New Richmond. Remaining also is a very large host of nieces, nephews, and an ever growing group of over 2 dozen grandchildren, and dozens of great grandchildren, all of whom she adored. Naomi was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, as well as a son, Rodney Edwin Oetzel, her parents Carlos and Lucille, and in-laws she treated as parents, Raymond and Mabel Oetzel. Preceding her also, were brothers and sisters in law Richard C. Winterhalter, Dr. Olen and Cathryn Mann, Robert R. Oetzel, and great grand children, Carter Isaac Durham and Naomi Sowders Priest. Naomi spent her time raising her children, managing home and gardens, substitute teaching, accounting and preparing taxes, and working the election polls,. She was a 4-H advisor, a member of Farm Bureau Women’s Club, Mr. Pisgah Civic Club, and was an active member for several decades of the Cincinnati Monthly Meeting of Friends on Keller Rd. Her favorite passion in life, besides feeding the birds, was hosting and feeding large or small gatherings of her family.
