Read More	Naomi Grace Mueller, the daughter of William and Ida (Somerhalder) Rathbun, was born on September 2, 1915 near Webber, Kansas. She passed away on January 4, 2007 at the Superior Good Samaritan Center in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 91 years, 4 months and 2 days. Naomi grew up in the Valley View area near Webber, Kansas, and lived her life in the Fairview area southwest of Nelson, Nebraska until moving off the farm and into Nelson. Naomi attended rural school at Valley View south north of Webber, Kansas, and graduated from Superior High School. She was baptized at the Salem Evangelical Church at Steinauer and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church. She taught elementary school in rural Jewell County Kansas in her younger years. On May 19, 1936 she was united in marriage to Edward Mueller and to this union was born one daughter, Lois. Naomi was a member of the Fairview Neighbors Club, enjoyed embroidering and reading and was very proud of the fact that she was the news reporter for the Fairview area. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edward on September 12, 1978, brothers, Paul and Waldon Rathbun and infant brother and sister Ruth Rathbun and an infant sister. She is survived by her daughter Lois Watts and husband Albert Jerry of Camarillo, California, two grandchildren, Albert John Watts of Long Beach, California and Alicia Juli Kern and husband J.C. Kern of Palos Verdes Peninsula, California. One sister Rose Czirr and husband Raymond of Superior along with a host of many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, January 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM from the Salem Lutheran Church in Rural Superior, Nebraska with Rev. Barbara Bauer officiating. Music was a duet, "How Great Thou Art" by Alfred and Janelle Hanson. Congregational hymns were "Beautiful Savior" and "I Was There To Hear Your Borning Cry" with Sonia Schmidt as organist. Pallbearers were Glenn Mueller, Nathan Mueller, Steve Gunn, Roy Anderson, Tom Rathbun, Levi Gunn and Jared Gunn Honorary pallbearers were Ralph Meyer, Clarence Kuper and Eldrick Grummert. Interment was in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery near Superior, Nebraska. Memorials may go to the Salem Lutheran Church. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
