Based on what Naomi said, the following are the places the Wilson family lived are: abt 1815 - Madison County, Kentucky (per Naomi) abt 1817 - Bath County, Kentucky (per Naomi) 1820 - Bath County, Kentucky (per census) abt 1821 - Madison County, Kentucky (per Naomi) 1825 - Morgan County, Indiana (family stories, records and Naomi) May 1834 - still in Morgan County, Indiana (father purchased property) abt 1836 - Fulton County, Illinois (per Naomi) Naomi married Elias Beaver on July 25, 1839 in Fulton County, Illinois. The following represents where Naomi, Elias and their children lived: July 25, 1839 - Fulton County, Illinois (married Elias Beaver) June 1, 1840 - Fulton County, Illinois (per census) 1850 - Joshua Township, Fulton County, Illinois (per census) 1852 - Moved from Illinois to Clay Twp, Marion County, Iowa (per Naomi) April 7, 1853 - Clay Twp, Marion County, Iowa (per Henry Allyn journal) 1856 - Clay Township, Marion County, Iowa (Iowa State Census) 1860 - Clay Township, Marion County, Iowa (per census) 1870 - Clay Township, Marion County, Iowa (per census) 1880 - Clay Township, Marion County, Iowa (per census) Naomi married Elias Beaver (1799-1865) on July 25, 1839 in Fulton County, Illinois. Please note that some family trees have their marriage in Durham, Iowa, but that is incorrect. On a write-up on Naomi, she states that she was living in Fulton County, Illinois with her parents and later with Elias after their marriage which is confirmed by the 1840 census. Per Naomi, she and Elias moved to Iowa in 1852. Elias and Naomi had seven children: James A. (1840-1863), Samuel Lee (1842-1901), Nancy Jane 'Mary' (c1844-1846), Sophronia (1847- ), Franklin C. (1849-1904), Sarah E. (1854-1896) and Joseph Wilson (1855-1914). In about 1815, Naomi and her parents were living in Madison County, Kentucky until about 1817 when they moved to Bath County, Kentucky where they are found on the 1820 census. In about 1821, they moved back to Madison County before moving to Morgan County, Indiana in 1825. The family moved once again in about 1836 to Fulton County, Illinois - this could have been a result of several deaths in the Linn family including Naomi's grandfather, Patrick Linn, who died on April 7, 1829 in Madison Township, Morgan County, Indiana and her grandmother, Mary Linn, who died after April but before 1830. In addition, one of Patrick and Mary's sons (Naomi's uncle), James Linn, also died sometime in 1829; Mary and James most likely died in Morgan County, too. From that point on, the families seemed to separate somewhat and not live as close together as had been their habit for years. Naomi and Elias Beaver married on July 25 of 1839 in Fulton County, Illinois where they continued to live until 1852 when they moved to Clay Township, Harvey, Marion County, Iowa. From what I can tell, they continued living there until their deaths as they are listed in Clay Township, Marion County, Iowa on the 1856 Iowa State Census, and on the 1860 U.S. Federal Census reports. Naomi is listed in the same area on the 1870 and 1880 census reports and in the history of Marion County, Iowa published in 1881. *Some info on Naomi was taken from the book, "The History of Marion County, Iowa: Containing a History of the County, Its Cities, Its Towns," for Clay Township [Marion County, Iowa]. Bio of Naomi appears on page 797; published 1881. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Naomi's mother, Nancy LINN Wilson, was a sister to my g-g-g grandfather, William Linn (1790-1840). Nancy and William's parents were Patrick Linn (1753-1829) and Mary [maiden name unknown] (1754-1829). Patrick immigrated to the American colonies c1772 from Belfast, Ireland and joined the American Revolutionary War on July 6, 1776 at Fort Ticonderoga and served until he was captured by the British on January 25, 1780. Patrick was held prisoner for 9 months and 10 days. He was released from prison in September 1780 and lived for a short number of years in Pennsylvania before moving to Limestone, Kentucky sometime before 1787. He and his entire family (wife & 4 children) continued to live in Kentucky until his son, James, moved to Morgan Co., Indiana sometime before April 1, 1823. Patrick and the rest of his family moved to Morgan County, Indiana in mid 1825 (before August 1825 when Patrick requested his pension payment for his service in the American Revolutionary War be transferred from Kentucky to Indiana).
