Description	:	Mrs. Nell Denny McKinney of Pinnacle passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2010, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born on April 21, 1925, to John Willis and Betty Dodson Denny. On Dec. 7, 1946, she married the love of her life, Glenn McKinney, who passed away on May 28th, 1968. Nell remained his devoted wife and sole mate for the rest of her life. She was born on April 21, 1925, to John Willis and Betty Dodson Denny. On Dec. 7, 1946, she married the love of her life, Glenn McKinney, who passed away on May 28th, 1968. Nell remained his devoted wife and sole mate for the rest of her life. She was a faithful member of Pinnacle View Baptist Church for 70 years. Mrs. McKinney is survived by her daughter, Betty Ann McKinney of the home; two granddaughters, Marie Holt Pusey and husband Craig of West Union, S.C., and Marianne Holt of Pilot Mountain; great-grandson, Ben Pusey; two great-granddaughters, Amber and April Collins and a special "granddaughter" Jenna Pruitt. Also surviving are a brother, J.W. Denny formerly of Pilot Mountain; one sister, Pansy Broughton and husband John of Pilot Mountain; one sister-in-law Mae McKinney Slate and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, her precious husband Glenn, and one sister Foye Burge. The family will receive friends at Pinnacle View Baptist Church on Monday, March 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. and other times at the home of her daughter. Her funeral will be at the church on Tuesday March 30 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ronnie Chamblin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Donations may be made in floral tribute or to the Pinnacle View Baptist Church Fellowship Hall Fund c/o Rachel Hall, 463 Corner Road Pinnacle, NC 27043.
