Description	:	Nelle Hope Workman passed away Sunday, March 14, 1954 at her home in Birmingham after an illness of seven months. She was born Oct. 20, 1894, the daughter of Dapcelia and Riley Byers and had lived her entire life in Birmingham. She is survived by her husband Fred O. Workman, one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Catcott of Keosauqua, Iowa and one son, Fred O. Workman, Jr. of Keosauqua; Her mother, Mrs. Dapcelia Byers of Des Moines, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Frances Sherod of Des Moines; one brother, Ned Byers of Houston, Texas and three grandchildren, Julie and Freddie Catcott and Sue... Read More	Nelle Hope Workman passed away Sunday, March 14, 1954 at her home in Birmingham after an illness of seven months. Workman, one daughter, Mrs. Katherine Catcott of Keosauqua, Iowa and one son, Fred O. Workman, Jr. of Keosauqua; Her mother, Mrs. Dapcelia Byers of Des Moines, Iowa, one sister, Mrs. Frances Sherod of Des Moines; one brother, Ned Byers of Houston, Texas and three grandchildren, Julie and Freddie Catcott and Sue Ann Workman. She was preceded in death by her father on April 29, 1949. Fred O. Workman and Nelle Byers were married January 15, 1915. Mrs. Workman was a member of the Presbyterian Church, the Presbyterian Ladies Aid, Auxiliary of the Rural Letter Carriers, Order of the Eastern Star, Fairfield, Chapter No. 39 and the American Legion Auxiliary. Services at the Presbyterian church on Tuesday, March 16, 1954 at 2:00 p.m. in charge of Rev. H.C. Irvine. Burial at Maple Hill Cemetery. Source: Van Buren Co.
