Smalley, who preceded her in death in 1944. To this union were born Clyde Smalley of Hebron, Neb., Lee Smalley who preceded her in death in 1935; Floyd Smalley who preceded her in death in 1958; Fern Smalley Kramer of Superior, Neb.; Ray Smalley of Medford, Ore.; and Marie Smalley Bramwell of Los Gatos, Calif. Immediately after their marriage, Mrs. Smalley and her husband left for Sherman County, Kansas, where they lived on their homestead. In 1890 they returned to Saline County where they lived for 13 years. They moved to Nuckolls County in 1904 to a farm southeast of Mt. Clare where they lived until 1922 when they moved to Superior. A brother Frank Chase preceded her in death as a young man. Survivors are, besides her children already named, two sisters: Mamie Plambeck and Mina Moffatt, both of the Good Samaritan Home of Nelson, Neb.; 10 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She was united with the First Baptist Church of Superior in 1923. She was a very faithful member and a wonderful mother and friend. She will always be remembered for her bright smile and sunny disposition. Services were held at the Megrue Funeral Home Friday afternoon, with Pastor J.F. Kunce officiating. Interment was in Evergreen cemetery (sic).
