Description	:	Mina Chase, daughter of Wells Chase and Sarah McLaughin Chase was born May 22, 1978 at Viola, Illinois and passed away at the Good Samaritan Rest Home in Superior on June 3, 1970 at the age of 92 years and 12 days. When a child she moved from Viola, Illinois to Tobias, Nebraska where she grew to womanhood. She taught school in rural schools around Tobais (sic) for 11 years. While in Tobais (sic) she joined a small country church. Mina Chase was united in marriage to Charles Dell Moffatt in 1903 at Milligan, Nebraska where they at first made their home.... While in Tobais (sic) she joined a small country church. Mina Chase was united in marriage to Charles Dell Moffatt in 1903 at Milligan, Nebraska where they at first made their home. Later they moved to Edgar, Nebraska. To this union were born six children, Elpha, Harold, Wayne, Arah, Sarah and Margaret. In her later years of life she became a practical nurse and proved to be a helpful friend to many in need. In 1964 she entered the Nelson Good Samaritan Home where her two older sisters were already living and there she showed many acts of love and kindness to them. Mrs. Moffatt was a religious person who enjoyed reading her Bible. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her four children, Elpha, Mrs. George Heinrich of Nelson, Wayne Moffatt of Hastings, Nebraska; Mrs. Sarah Stuck of Wedderburn, Oregon and Margaret, Mrs. LaVern Troudt of Alma, Nebraska; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Harold Moffatt of Troudtdale, Nebraska; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She leaves to mourn her passing her loved ones and a host of friends. Mrs. Moffatt was preceded in death by her parents, one infant child, her husband, Charles, who passed away on July 14, 1929; her son, Harold passed away in February 1964; two sisters, Nellie Smally and Mamie Plambeck, and one brother, Frank; also one granddaughter. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 6, 1970 at 2:00 p.m. in the Klawitter Funeral Chapel, Nelson, Nebraska. Rev. L.A. Hansen of the United Methodist Church officiated. Casket Bearers were Vaden Cramer (sic), John Sullivan, LeRoy Troudt, Jerry Moffatt, LaVern Troudt and Leslie Troudt. Klawitter Funeral Home, Nelson, Nebraska was in charge of the arrangements.
