Sheffel were grieved to learn of her death which occurred May 3, 1928 at the home where she had grown to womanhood. Mrs. Sheffel was 33 years, 9 months, and 14 days old at the time of her death. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. Z. M. Bressler and sermon preached by Rev. Clarence Moore former pastor of the Carl Church. Interment was made in the... Interment was made in the Bohemian cemetery. Nellie Marie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Kolash, was born near Williamson, Iowa in Adams county July 19, 1894. She was married to Fred C. Sheffel September 3, 1913. To this union seven children were born: Orlo, Wayne, Allen, Dennis, Virginia, Norma, and Merrill. The children and her husband survive and on them will fall the heavy burden of keeping the home together without a devoted mother's love. Mrs. Sheffel is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Barbara Kolash, one brother, Frank Kolash of Des Moines, and two sisters, Mrs. Barbara Pelik of Griswold and Mrs. Francis Adams of Sycamore, Illinois. She is also survived by a large number of sorrowing friends and neighbors who have loved her for her devotion to her family and her excellent qualities which made her the best kind of neighbor and friend.
