She died at the Cherry County Hospital Feb. 15, 1994 at the age of 98 When Neoma was five she moved with her family to Cherry County where the family homesteaded seven miles west of Wood Lake. She attended grade school at a country school and graduated from St. Mary's Academy of O'Neill in 1915. Neoma taught rural schools and worked in a bank in Wood lake until June 1, 1920 when she was united in marriage to Alfred Shaul. Alfred and Neoma lived in the Wood Lake area most of their married life except for five years 1924-1929 when they lived in Casper, WY. In 1975 they sold their ranch and moved to Valentine where Neoma resided until the time of her death. Neoma was a devout life long member of the Catholic Church. She was a gold star mother of the American Legion Auxiliary of Wood Lake. She will be remembered as a loving wife and mother and a very special grandmother. She is survived by one daughter, Helen and husband, Ed Donovan, one sister, Zoe O'Keefe, one sister-in-law, Delores O'Keefe, all of Valentine; five grandchildren, one great grandson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Alfred, son, Donald, her parents, brothers; Gordon, Alexander, Norman and sister, Helen (Sister Pascal). ____________________
