Description	:	A pall of gloom was cast over the community last Monday, when the word was received that Miss Nina Longcor had died at the family home at 3 o'clock that morning. Death followed several weeks of severe illness and was attributable to an affliction of the liver. Death followed several weeks of severe illness and was attributable to an affliction of the liver. Nina Annette Longcor was born at Harlan, Ia., June 5, 1876 and died Dec. 29, 1924 at her home near Creighton. She came to Nebraska with her parents, when six years of age, living in various parts of the state and finally settling in Creighton in 1903, where she lived until her demise. She early gave her heart to Christ and lived a consecrated Christian life always. Miss Longcor was widely known in the county, where she had favorably impressed many people, she having been identified in the educational line, teaching in the Creighton and Center Public Schools and in the rural schools of the county, serving the Creighton Schools for fourteen years. She was a member of the Congregational church and of the Royal Neighbor Lodge. Members of the lodge attended the funeral in a body, which was held from the M.E. church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock and conducted by Rev. Littrell. Pallbearers were six former pupils. Interment was in Greenwood cemetery. The parents, three brothers and one sister survive and to these, who mourn the loss of a loved daughter and sister, the friends in the community, with whom The News desires to be numbered, extend condolences of a most sincere nature.
