Ralph Longcor, an old time resident of the Millboro, S. D., community, was born April 4, 1878 to Jasper N. and Sarah M. Longcor at Harlan, Shelby County, Ia., the third of five children. He moved with his parents to near Norden where they homesteaded in northwest Keya Paha county before 1900. On Sept. 18, 1904, he was united in marriage to Clara Huggins at St. Francis Mission, S. D. The couple made their home in Tripp County, S. D., where he was active in ranching until his 80th birthday. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two sisters and one brother. Survivors include his children, Alma and Clarence of Millboro and Ralph, JR., of Valentine, also his brother, Dwight of Bassett, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives.
