Peterson passed away at his home south of Aurora on Sunday following an illness dating over a period of months. A native of Sweden he came to America and direct to this county fifty years ago. Burial was in the Aurora cemetery. Alfred Leonard Peterson was born in Smoland, Sweden on January 23, 1868 and passed away at the family home, near Aurora on November 25, 1934 at age of 66 years 10 months and 2 days. In 1884 he came to America, coming directly to Hamilton County, where he has since made his home. On March 16, 1901 he was united in marriage to Miss Hattie Brown. Two sons, Clarence Clifford and Raymond Harold, were born to this union. Mrs. Peterson departed this life on December 25, 1910. On March 2, 1914 he was joined in marriage to Miss Susan (Sarah) Wray of Omaha. Four children were born to bless their home. Mr. Peterson was confirmed in the Swedish Lutheran church at the age of fifteen years. In 1916, he and his wife united with the Lysinger Presbyterian church, of which organization he was a member at the time of his death. He had lived on the same farm continuously for twenty three years. He was a kind and loving husband and father and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Those remain to mourn his passing, his wife, four sons, Clarence Clifford, Alfred Leonard Jr., and Robert Leslie at home and Raymond Harold of Sutherland, Nebraska; two daughters, Mary Jayne and Emma Caroline both at home, with relatives and many friends. Noach Alfred emigrated from Sweden September 1887 as Noak Alfred Gustafsson (his father was Gustav), destination New York. His father Gustav Peter Petersson, born 1832, wife: Kristina Charlotta Larsdotter born 1828, married Dec. 12, 1856 lives in Nedre Lundsbo. Children: Johan Peter Elof 1856, Hulda Sofia Charlotta 1859, Emma Charlotta 1861, Augusta Julia 1864, Noach Alfred 1868, Mathilda Eugenia 1870.
