She was born July 10, 1905, in Parkersburg, W.Va., to Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Kimble Collins. The married Fred Myers on Oct. 17, 1925, in Oskaloosa; he died March 29, 1946. She was a member of the Ottumwa Baptist Temple. She is survived by a son, Fred S. Myers of Agency; four daughters, Veletta Dickerson and Fred Cassill of Agency, Mary Lou McBride of Moravia and Elaine Jackson of Ames; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-granddaughters. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Harry, Ora, Harold and Oran Collins; and two sisters, Jewel Collins and Nora White. The service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Reece Funeral Home, the Rev. A.D. Pringle officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 9 a.m. Wednesday with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Fred McBride, Fred E. Myers, Larry Cassill, Edward Robinson, Tom Mitchell and Chris Kuhnle. Memorials may be made to the Ottumwa Baptist Temple.
