Description	:	Veletta Belle Dickerson, 93, of Agency, died July 30, 2019 at home. She was born June 17, 1926 in Oskaloosa to Fred and Norine Collins Myers. She married Robert E. Dickerson on June 23, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2010. Growing up in Ottumwa, she worked for Northwestern Bell. She and her husband lived in Chicago, IL where Veletta had worked various secretarial and accounting jobs. She and her husband moved to Agency in 1978. She was a member of Ottumwa Baptist Temple. She married Robert E. Dickerson on June 23, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 2, 2010. Growing up in Ottumwa, she worked for Northwestern Bell. She and her husband lived in Chicago, IL where Veletta had worked various secretarial and accounting jobs. She and her husband moved to Agency in 1978. She was a member of Ottumwa Baptist Temple. Veletta enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and spending time with her family. She is survived by her sister, Elaine Jackson of Ames; 9 nieces and 3 nephews, Barbara, Peggy, Susie, Karla, Fred, Becky, Bob, Kim, Debbie, Fred Jr., Terri and Sheila. She was preceded in death by siblings, Freda Cassill, May Lou McBride and Fred Myers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Decker officiating. Burial will be in Shaul Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday. Her casket will remain closed. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
