Born April 21, 1918, in Forman, she was the daughter of the late Henry Asa Alt and Mary Frances (Kimble) Alt. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John H. Groves, Jan. 14, 1978. She was the last member of her immediate family. She is survived by one son, John Kit Groves of Petersburg; one daughter-in-law, Dixie Groves of Maysville; three daughters, Kathy Kimble and husband, Chuck of Petersburg, Jayne Monroe and husband, Doug, of Charlotte, N.C., and Jennifer Mann and husband, Howard, of...
