Description	:	Norma Mae Swanson 86 passed away January 26, 2021 at Kearney Regional Medical Center. Norma was born September 19, 1934 in Vinita Oklahoma to Howard and Mildred (Baker) Platter. Norma was the eldest of seven children. The Platter family moved to Ogallala Nebraska in 1943 where Norma attended Ogallala schools and graduated in 1951. She met Cecil Swanson from Lewellen, Nebraska, and they were married June 27, 1952 and had four children Kathy, Bobby, Taffy and Debby. Norma was the eldest of seven children. The Platter family moved to Ogallala Nebraska in 1943 where Norma attended Ogallala schools and graduated in 1951. She met Cecil Swanson from Lewellen, Nebraska, and they were married June 27, 1952 and had four children Kathy, Bobby, Taffy and Debby. Norma worked at Midwick in Oshkosh, Nebraska and TRW in Ogallala, Nebraska for many years, until she retired in 1986. Norma enjoyed gardening, sewing, and reading books. The family enjoyed going to Lake McConaughy for swimming, boating, and fishing. During the summer months we loved Drive-In Movie night. More than anything, Norma loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Norma is survived by her sister, Margie Fox; children, Kathy Reisner, Debby and Keith Cantrell both from Ogallala, Bobby and Laurie Swanson of Longmont, Colorado, Taffy and David Richardson of Kearney, Nebraska; grandchildren Travis and Lois Swanson, Tina and Shawn DeVoe both from Ogallala, Adam and Kristen Cantrell from Freeland, Michigan, Taeler Swanson and Laine Swanson from Phoenix, Arizona; great grandchildren, Joshuah Swanson and Elizabeth Swanson, Hunter, Isabella, and Broden DeVoe from Ogallala, Victor Cantrell from Freeland, Michigan, Harper Lee Swanson from Phoenix, Arizona, Candice Parker Swanson from Westminster, California; great grandchildren Skylar Swanson and Deacon Parker from Westminster, California. Norma was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Swanson, parents Howard and Mildred Platter, brothers Eddy, Howard Jr., George, and sisters Patsy Roberts and Melva Denver.
