Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 17 Sept 1969 Norman McCoun Killed in Accident Sunday Norman James McCoun, 17, was killed early Sunday in a car accident 13 miles west of Glasgow. He was reported driver of a car which went off the highway and hit an embankment. Roger Pugh and Ed Lenington, both of Fort Benton, were injured and hospitalized after the accident. The young man had gone to attend a football game between Northern Montana and Minot state at Glasgow. Norman was a senior in Fort Benton high school, captain of the varsity football team, member of the Fort Benton "B" club and a letterman in football, basketball and track. He had suffered an early season leg injury and just had the cast removed last week. Memorial services were held this Wednesday morning, Sept. 17, at 9:30 a.m. at the Fort Benton high school. Funeral services will be this Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Benton Funeral Home with MSgr. John Regan officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery. Norman was born Dec. 4, 1951, and had lived all his life in this county. Survivors include his mother, Bernice McCoun; a sister, Irene McCoun, Fort Benton; three brothers, Carl McCoun, in the navy at Balboa naval hospital corps school; Irvin McCoun, in the army at Ben Hue, Vietnam, and Arthur, in the navy on the USS Whitfield City, stationed in Japan. His father, Cecil R. McCoun, died Jan. 1, 1966. The family have the sympathy of all in their tragic loss.
