Norman and Margie were the parents of the following children: Connie, Steve, Loretta, Gary, Richard, and Barbara. They divorced. Around 1967, he married Ingaby Dixon. Earlier in life, Pvt. Norman Kelley trained at Camp Maxey, a World War II infantry-training camp ten miles north of Paris, Texas. He was then stationed for a time during 1942 at Stout Field, Indianapolis, Indiana, during 1943 at Portland Army Airfield, and during 1943-1944 at Medford Army Airfield, Medford, Oregon. Norman especially liked Medford, remembering it fondly in his later years. It was during those uncertain war years while he was stationed in Medford, that he was in a loving relationship with the young divorcee, Betty Jean Dawson Hall Morrison. This relationship produced a child who was given up for adoption to a family coincidentally, and also lineally descended as Norman was, from Colonial Governor John Webster of the Connecticut Colony. Norman and Betty's child was named Ranson Webster, after his adopted father. Norman loved meeting people. He was very social, and a very good dancer by all accounts. He always spoke in later years about being stationed in Medford, Oregon, and loving it! He reminisced about dancing with Ginger Rogers, when she was an act with partner Fred Astaire. He was always saying he wanted to go back to Medford. As a side note, in 1940, Ginger Rogers purchased a 1,000 acre ranch along the Rogue River, just north of Medford. The ranch, named the 4-R's (for Roger's Rogue River Ranch), is where she would live, along with her mother, when not doing her Hollywood business. The ranch was also a dairy, and supplied milk to Camp White for the war effort during World War II. Rogers loved to fish the Rogue every summer. She sold the ranch in 1990-afer 50 years, and moved to Medford.
