She was buried Monday morning. Services were held at the St. Joseph church and interment was made in the Catholic cemetery. The bereaved parents have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their loss. +++ Le Mars Globe, IA, Wednesday, August 14, 1901, pg. 3, col. 2 Mr. and Mrs. John Becker of America township were called upon to mourn the loss of their little daughter, Abdola (sic/Obdulia) about twelve years of age. The little girl was sick last winter with scarlet fever and never fully recovered from the effects, and suffered with her heart dying of dropsy of the heart on Saturday. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's church on Monday morning conducted by Rev. Father Feuerstein.
