Description	:	"Father" Ole Erickson was born in Thrumjed, Norway, January 14, 1841 and departed this life February 2, 1925. He came to this county when yet a boy and settled in the state of Wisconsin. He enlisted at Madson, Wisconsin in 1862 and served as a member of Company D 23rd Reg., 13th Wisconsin infantry until 1865. He was married to Miss Eliza Paulson of Eureka, Kansas September 26, 1880. To this union nine children were, two dying in infancy and Tom who died six years ago. ... Thus passes another one of our sturdy pioneers that company of men who have made this county what it is today in the social and industrious life; who have revevealed in one patriotism ; who believe in being " a friend to man" They have left to us a rich heritage. He is survived by his widow and six children. Charles, Arnie and Christ of Eureka; Logan of Sulphur, Oklahoma, Mrs. Chris Evenson of Eureka, Kansas and Mrs, Chars Cannon of Rosalia, Kansas and one sister Mrs. Paul (Eliza) Paulson. Funeral service were held Sunday afternoon at Upper Fall River Lutheran Church, conducted by Rev. Paul Mennenoch and the members of the G.A.R. Burial in the church cemetery there.
