Description	:	Ole Sigel Branson was born 16 May 1862 in Greenwood County, near Ivanpah Creek the son of Hellick Branson and Maret Missunt Branson. When he was 4 year old his father bought land near the present town of Eureka. He was a member of the Old Norwegian Lutheran Church near Upper Fall River. He attended public schools in Eureka and Washburn University. He married Mary J. Driebelbis 19 March 1890 in Eureka. Greenwood Abbey 2.Hugh Gilbert Branson 4 August 1902 - 6 October 1969; married Opal P. ____Branson 30 April 1907-30 July 1990, both buried Belle Plaine Cemetery, Belle Plaine, Kansas John Branson 4 November 1903 -16 November 1971; married Margaret Lewis 4 September 1911-8 April 2008, both buried Greenwood Abbey Sigel Branson was elected Register of Deeds for Greenwood County in 1910, and served 2 terms. Sigel was also engaged in farming and cattle business, during these time his wife who was his deputy would take over the job of being Register of Deeds. After many years of his heath declining Sigel went to Mayo Clinic, where it was learned that he had cancer of the stomach and liver. He died 6 April 1919, and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery.
