She had been in failing health for some time. Olive Elizabeth Harritt was born at Nelson, Neb., February 3, 1878. She was married to D. R. Martin February 7, 1900, at Nelson. Martin died at her home in Geneva, Neb., Saturday July 11, 1942, at the age of 64 years, 5 months, and 8 days. She had been in failing health for some time. Olive Elizabeth Harritt was born at Nelson, Neb., February 3, 1878. She was married to D. R. Martin February 7, 1900, at Nelson. The family resided at Oak, Martland, Brainard, and Shickley, coming to Geneva in October, 1915, when Mr. Martin was assigned here by the Northwestern Railroad. Mrs. Martin is survived by her husband, D. R. Martin, one daughter, Mrs. George Denbo of Chicago, Ill., two sons, Vernon and Elton of Concordia, Kas., three brothers O. G. Harritt of Watonga, Okla., R. F. Harritt of Nelson and Austin Harritt of Portland, Ore., and five grandchildren. One daughter, Fern, preceded her mother in death in 1917 at the age of sixteen. Mrs. Martin’s devotion and loyalty to the home and family was her chief delight. She was converted to the Christian faith at an early age and had been a member of the United Brethren church for fifty years. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of Geneva. She will be greatly missed by her relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the United Brethren church in Geneva at 2 p. m. Monday, June 13. Rev. Glenn R. Cain, the pastor, officiated. Rev. Harry Cook, pastor of the United Brethren church of Concordia, Kas. assisted. Burial was in the Geneva cemetery, the Eastern Star service being held at the grave. Among those from out of town present at the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. George Denbo of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Elton martin, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Martin, June and Kendall; Howard Pontius and Rev. and Mrs. Harry Cook, all of Concordia, Kas.; Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Harriett, Ruth and Mary of Wantonga, Okla.; Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Harritt and Ralph of Nelson; Mrs. George Adams of Hastings; Prof. and Mrs. W. C. Noll and Ord of York; Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Harritt and Mrs. Will Harritt and Blanche of York; Mr. and Mrs. Mayland Olson, Ed, Doris and Ruth; and Mrs. Will Duncan, Dorothy and Cecil of Nelson and Miss Clarabelle Smith of Lincoln.
