Description	:	Olive Marie Walters, 91, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 9, 2020. Marie was born December 1, 1928 to the late Willie Simpson and Delphia Deese Simpson. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill Walters; daughters, Billie Elaine Walters, Patricia Lavonne Honeycutt and Deborah Marie Moore; and siblings, Ira Simpson, Monty Mills and Phillip Simpson. She is survived by her children Brenda Mullis (Pratt), Renee Hartis (Bill) and Delanda Sexton (Bart); siblings J.W. “Dub” Simpson (Nancy), Janie Baucom, Libby Williams, Vann Simpson, Darrell Simpson (Mary), Dean Carter, Bruce Simpson (Linda) and Sandy Baucom; grandchildren, Annette Baucom (Greg), Amanda Abbuhl, Beth Butler (Charles), Aaron Mullis (Dena), Alan Price (Wendy), Jeremy Price, Lauren Roth (Jacob), Jonathan Hartis and Coty Sexton; 22 great and 13 great-great grandchildren. These accomplishments pale in comparison to the way she embodied the Proverbs 31 woman. She rose up early, stayed up late and provided for her family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren rise up and call her blessed. “Other women have done excellently but you surpass them all.” A funeral service to celebrate her life will be held at 3PM, on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Sardis Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
