Description	:	Oliver Elmond Reed, one of six children born to William C. and Emma Elizabeth Caldwell Reed, was born on a farm near Bostwick, Nebraska, on August 31, 1888. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Nelson for fifty years. Oliver married Freida Mae Reed November 7, 1917, in Hastings. To this union were born three children. Read More	Oliver Elmond Reed, one of six children born to William C. and Emma Elizabeth Caldwell Reed, was born on a farm near Bostwick, Nebraska, on August 31, 1888. Clare for 20 years, Guide Rock for 4 years and Nelson for 40 years. Oliver passed away in Superior December 12, 1975, at the age of 87 years, 3 months and 11 days. He was preceded in death by his wife on December 22, 1974; his parents; a brother and a sister. Survivors include three children, Mr. William Reed of Superior, Mrs. Gladys Farver of Nelson and Mr. Leslie Reed of New Virginia, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 3 sisters, Mrs. Mae Dowden of Madera, California, Mrs. Vera Griffiths of North Platte and Mrs. Esther Plahn of Norfolk; many neices (sic) and nephews and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, December 15, at the Klawitter Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Bruce Martin officiating. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery.
