Mr. Robinson was born Oct. 8, 1918, at Sabetha, the son of Joseph T. and Nellie May Jones Robinson. He attended Wetmore High School at Wetmore and lived in the Woodlawn community south of Sabetha most of his life. He was a member of the United Brethren Church. He was married to Ruth C. Sigmund Jan. 1, 1940, at Wetmore. She survives. He was preceded in death by an infant son in 1943. Other survivors include a son, Melvin D. Robinson, Manhattan; a daughter, Thelma R. Mann, Topeka; a sister, Mrs. Hazel Thompson, Sabetha; and five grandchildren. Burial will be in Netawaka Cemetery at Netawaka. Relatives and friends will meet from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Oliver Robinson Memorial Fund to be designated by relatives and sent in care of First National Bank at Wetmore, 66550.
