Death Came to Her at Her Home at Midnight Last Night. It will be with sorrow and regret that scores of friends in Lead and other places in the Hills will learn of the death at her home in this city at midnight last night of Mrs. George D. Foglesong, one of Lead's most estimable women, whose passing was the culmination of many months of illness. Mrs. Foglesong was born October 3, 1866, near Stockholm, Sweden, coming to the United States in her infancy with her parents who settled in Minnesota. She was married to Mr. Foglesong on June 30, 1892, in Lead, and had made this city her home until the time of her death, honored and esteemed by a very large circle of friends, admired for her many virtues, for she was a loving wife, a devoted mother, kind and considerate friend and neighbor, and many outside the family circle who look upon her death as a personal loss and to the loved ones who survived and mourn for her will offer their sincere sympathy. Mrs. Foglesong is survived by her husband, George D. Foglesong, a son, Walter; three daughters, Hilda, Ruth and Mrs. George L. Jackson; three sisters and three brothers. Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Friday afternoon at 2:30, from the family residence, Rev. Flockhart of Christ Church officiating. The family requests that there be no flowers sent. Lead Daily Call, Saturday, December 31, 1921, page 7: Funeral services for the late Mrs. George D. Foglesong were held yesterday afternoon from the family residence, Rev. Flockhart of Christ Episcopal church officiating. The services were attended by many of the friends of the deceased and her family. Interment was made in the South Lead cemetery, Mrs. Foglesong being laid at rest beside the father and mother and one of the brothers of Mr. Foglesong who are sleeping there. Members of the office force of the Homestake company, D.F. Bowen, W.S. Raybourn, M.C. Hunter, M.I. Mathison, R.K. Humphreys and William Frackelton were the pall bearers.
