Description	:	Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Elliott Methodist Church for Mrs. Ollie Petty. Rev. O. e. Ellis, pastor of the Elliott Church and Mrs. A. Breeling had charge of the service. Pall bearers were Merle Stillinger, G. I. West, W. R. Bishop, David Sandquist, J. R. Johnson, and George Karwal. Mrs. Ted Thompson and Mrs. Lawrence Boyer had charge of the music. Ollie Pearl Givan, daughter of Mr. and MRs. c. S. Givan was born August 30, 1889 in Adams County, near Carbon. At the age of 12 she, with her parents moved to a farm near Grant where she was raised to womanhood. On December 30, 1908, she was married to Harrison Petty. Eight children were born to this union. They resided on a farm in Pilot Grove Township until March 1945, when they moved to the present home in Elliott, where she passed away October 10, 1946, at the age of 57 years, 1 month, and 10 days. She leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and children, Lloyd and Loris at home, Mae, Dean, Milo, and Max all of Elliott, and Ross of Red Oak. One son Vernon preceded her in death.
