Read More	Cleveland Daily Banner Oma Jean Scoggins Tinsley, 79, a resident of the Prospect Community, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 28, 2010, at the family residence and went to be with her dear Lord. She was the daughter of the late Nannie Ramsey Scoggins and Everett Z. Scoggins. She was preceded in death by her sisters: Margaret Holder and her husband, Tom, Katherine Clingan and her husband, James, Verla Kate Watson and her husbands: W.C. Mathews and the Rev. Bob Watson, Maggie Gaston and her husband, Wiley, Martha Jones and her husband, Joe B., Mary Lee Mathews and her husband, Lester, Ida Scoggins, and Frances Brady and her husband, Frank; brothers: Jack Scoggins and Floyd Scoggins, who both passed away at a very young age, and Clyde Scoggins and his wife, Edith Craigo Scoggins; and brothers-in-law: Perry Taylor and Ben Neely. She and her husband, the Rev. James "Bud" Tinsley, have pastored The Church of God House of Prayer Mission Church on Railroad Street for many years. She had remained faithful to the Lord's work even though her illness had taken her eyesight. She loved church and she loved to reminisce with family and friends about places and things they had done together. Laughter and a smile was her personality. Her parents had 14 children, of which she was the youngest. The bond between the 11 sisters and the one brother has been something known and talked about far and wide. Even though each one has their own family, they take care of each other on a daily basis. They're lovingly known as the "Scoggins Sisters." She worked for several years at the American Uniform Co. and Bellwood Plastic in Cleveland. She also served as a private sitter for several patients in the Cleveland area. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, the Rev. James "Bud" Tinsley of Cleveland; son, Jimmy Tinsley; and grandson, Dustin Tinsley, both of Cleveland; sisters: Hazel Taylor of McDonald and Nellie "Tip" Neely of Fort Payne, Ala.; special "Adopted Family," Lana Adams and Darlene Adams, both of Markleysburg, Pa., Rachel Crain of Oklahoma City, Okla., Dara McDonald and Natalie Daub, both of Cleveland and Paula Ledford of McDonald; and several nieces and nephews. The Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2010, from the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Rev. Lowell Hicks and the Rev. Charles Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the Earls Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
