Description	:	Ora "Earl" Ankenbauer was married to Edith V. Dollahon on Nov. 24, 1914, he was 27 and she was 24 years old. They were farmers and lived at Kenmare. They raised their 11 children, 7 sons and 4 daughters there. They were the parents of two sets of twins. One set of girls, my mother being one and one set of boys. They raised their 11 children, 7 sons and 4 daughters there. They were the parents of two sets of twins. One set of girls, my mother being one and one set of boys. The boys were born on two different days, one at home and the other in town at the hospital the next day. In the 1940's during the war, six of their seven sons were enlisted and at war for the United States. When Uncle Sam said send us your youngest son, Grandmother said No, we need him on the farm and that was that. They all came home alive and well. Most of my uncles lived, worked and farmed in and around Kenmare. Earl and Edith are my grandparents, and I have good memories of being at the farm when I was young. Earl had many different trackers on his farm over the years. At first a very large stem engine, them when I was young the smaller ones that I used to run behind as he went to the barn to milk the cows. They had 40 grandchildren; 69 great grandchildren at the death of Edith in 1985. bio. by JaniceH
