Services were held Saturday at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden with the Rev. Dr. Terry Palmer officiating. Services were held Saturday at Westminster United Presbyterian Church in Minden with the Rev. Dr. Terry Palmer officiating. Mr. Christensen was born Feb. 16, 1916, to Peter and Ruth (Maucher) Christensen on a farm northeast of Minden. He attended country school District 8. On Oct. 15, 1938, he married Marie Albers. They lived and farmed northeast of Minden for nine years, then moved southeast of Minden. In 1976, they moved into Minden. He was a farmer all his life. He was a member of the Westminster United Presbyterian Church and was a former trustee. He also was a board member of the Farmers Union Store and Station, served on the township board and country school board of education and was a 4-H leader. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Robert and Vern, both of Minden; three sisters, Velma Landstrom and Hazel Jepsen, both of Minden, and Dorothy Taylor of Denver; one brother, Edwin of Minden; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister.
