Description	:	Orval L. Grout, 82, of Pleasantview Home in Kalona, formerly of rural Riverside, died Friday, June 25, 1999, at Mercy Hospital after a short illness. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with the Rev. David L. Yoder officiating. Burial will be in the South Sharon Cemetery, rural Riverside. Mr. Grout was born Oct. 8, 1916, in rural Riverside, Johnson County, to Lucious and Emma (Schenk) Grout. He attended rural schools. He married Violet Mae Benson on May 22, 1946, at the Iowa City Methodist Church. She died March 28, 1990. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the South Sharon Methodist Church. Survivors include two children and their spouses, Gary and Marlene Grout of Iowa City and Wayne and Nancy Grout of rural Riverside; and five grandchildren, Leah, Sara, Kyle, Heather and Shannon.
